How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only as described below:

  • With trusted service providers who help us operate the church, under written agreements that limit their use of your information to the services they provide for us. Examples include Planning Center / Church Center (membership, registration, giving, calendar), our email and SMS providers, and our cloud hosting and analytics providers.
  • With Journey Church staff, elders, and approved volunteers who need the information to carry out the ministry you have engaged. Pastoral, counseling, Healing Room, and ministry-request information is treated as confidential within the care team.

Confidentiality of pastoral and counseling information

Information you share in pastoral care, counseling, prayer requests, Healing Room, or other ministry-care settings is held in confidence within the care team that serves you. Confidentiality has limits where safety, abuse, or legal reporting is involved. If you have questions about how a specific ministry handles information, please ask a pastor or ministry leader before you share.

Children’s privacy

Journey Kids is offered to children from birth through 5th grade. Information about a child is provided by a parent or legal guardian and is used only for ministry-related purposes such as secure check-in, pickup verification, allergy and medical awareness, and parent communication. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under the age of 13 through our public website. Parents and guardians may request to review, update, or delete information about their child by contacting us at info@journeychurch.org.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.

How we store and protect information

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Most personal information is stored within Planning Center / Church Center and other vetted ministry tools, which use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; please use a strong password for your Church Center account and let us know promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, to comply with legal and tax requirements, and for legitimate ministry record-keeping (for example, attendance, membership, and giving history). When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
