01 What time are Sunday services at Journey Church?
Journey Church holds two Sunday services at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM at 6225 Lake Gray Blvd Ste 2, Jacksonville, FL 32244. Each service runs about 90 minutes and includes live worship and a Bible-based message. Kids and youth programs run during both services. Doors open thirty minutes before each service.
02 Where is Journey Church located?
Journey Church is located at 6225 Lake Gray Blvd Ste 2, Jacksonville, FL 32244, near the intersection of Collins Road and Blanding Boulevard. The campus sits one mile from Orange Park and serves families across Argyle, Oakleaf, and greater Jacksonville. Parking is free, with a dedicated first-time guest lot.
03 Is Journey a good church for young families?
Yes. Journey Church is built for families with young kids. Journey Kids runs during both Sunday services for children from birth through fifth grade, with a separate Journey Kids Jr. environment for ages three to five. The kids building is secure, clean, and staffed by background-checked volunteers, and most first-time families say the kids ask to come back.
04 What should I wear?
Come as you are. Most people at Journey dress casually, in jeans, t-shirts and sneakers, and a few dress up. Nobody will judge what you wear or where you sit. If you want to blend in, aim for anything you’d wear to a coffee shop on a Saturday.
05 Is Journey Church non-denominational?
Yes. Journey Church is a non-denominational, Bible-based church. That means we’re not attached to a specific denomination like Baptist, Methodist, or Presbyterian. We hold to the historic Christian faith and teach directly from the Bible. Core beliefs align with the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.
06 Who is the pastor of Journey Church?
Adam Hardegree has been the Lead Pastor of Journey Church since June 2022. He has been in ministry since he was twenty, most of those years spent leading worship. Jim Reynolds and Michael Sereno also teach regularly.
07 How is Journey different from other churches in Jacksonville?
Journey is one church, not a multi-site mega-church, non-denominational, and built around honest teaching and real relationships. The community is culturally diverse, the music is live and modern, and the environment is intentionally unpretentious.
08 How do I plan my first visit?
Fill out the short Plan Your Visit form. A real person, not a bot, will text you before Sunday. When you arrive, park in the guest spots near the main entrance, check your kids in at the Journey Kids desk, and grab a free coffee on your way into the auditorium. Total commitment: about ninety minutes.
09 What does Journey Church believe?
Journey Church holds to the core beliefs of historic Christianity: the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, Jesus is fully God and fully human, salvation comes through faith in Jesus, and the local church exists to form disciples and serve the city. The full statement of beliefs is available on the Beliefs page.
10 Is there a youth group or student ministry?
Yes. Journey Youth serves middle and high school students every Wednesday night at 7:00 PM on the Lake Gray campus. The weekly gathering includes live worship, a message designed for teenagers, and small group discussion. Parents are welcome to tour the space any Wednesday before drop-off.
11 Can I watch Journey online?
Yes. Journey Church streams the 11:00 AM service on YouTube at youtube.com/@journeychurchjax, and past messages stay available on demand. Online is a great way to preview the church before visiting in person, but we believe the local, in-person gathering is where long-term faith is actually formed.
12 What help is available if I’m in a hard season?
Journey’s Ministry Request ministry offers free pastoral counseling, inner healing and prayer ministry, and addiction recovery support. The Good Living Food Pantry serves families in financial strain on the third Saturday of every month. You do not have to be a member to receive help. Contact the church office or stop by the welcome desk on a Sunday.
13 Is there a non-denominational church near me in Jacksonville?
Yes. Journey Church is a non-denominational church at 6225 Lake Gray Blvd Ste 2, Jacksonville, FL 32244, just off Collins Road near the Blanding Boulevard corridor. We serve families across Argyle, Oakleaf, Mandarin, and the greater Jacksonville area, with Sunday services at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
14 What church is near Orange Park?
Journey Church is less than a mile from the Orange Park line, right off Blanding Boulevard, about a five-minute drive from Orange Park Mall. Many of our small groups meet in Orange Park.
