Missions

From our neighborhoods to the nations.

The Church isn't a building. It's a people. We go into every area of influence God sends us, bringing the gospel of Jesus.

Pray and Go

We don’t send. We go.

Our value of Evangelism, Be the Church, drives everything in the Missions ministry. The Church isn’t a building; it’s a people. From our neighborhoods to the nations, we go into every area of influence God sends us, bringing the gospel of Jesus.

Two simple things shape how we go. Pray, asking the Lord to send us and listening for where. Go, following Him there, on a Saturday morning at the food pantry, on a flight to Israel, or on a phone call with a missionary half a world away.

Upcoming mission trip

Israel. May 2027.

Ten days through Galilee and Jerusalem, May 19 to 28, 2027. We walk where Jesus walked, read the Gospels in the places they happened, and come home reading them differently.

Want to go?

$3,960 per person, double occupancy, airfare included. Reserve by January 29, 2027. Seats are held in the order they come in.

Whether you have been on ten trips or have never been outside your zip code, if the Lord is stirring something, reach out. We will walk it out with you.

Local outreach

Good Living Food Pantry, right here in our city.

The Good Living Food Pantry is Journey’s monthly food-distribution outreach to families in Jacksonville. We don’t just hand out groceries. We pray with people, listen, and connect them to the rest of the church if they’d like.

It’s the most consistent, hands-on way our church loves the city every month.

Journey Church Serve Day team gathered to serve Jacksonville

Serve Day

One Saturday. The whole church.

A few times a year, Journey puts the gospel into hands and feet across Jacksonville: one coordinated day of teams, projects, and prayer.

Project crews tackle yard work, painting, and repairs at partner sites. Care teams cook, pack groceries, and serve at the Food Pantry. Prayer teams walk neighborhoods. Same Saturday, same mission.

The next Serve Day will be announced

A job is not just a job.

Work pays the light bill. It also puts a person back in a position to help somebody else, and Scripture treats that second part as the point.

Good Work keeps a short list of employers we actually know, plus the large local employers who hire year round. If you need work, start there. If you are hiring, we would like to meet you.

Who we partner with

The ministries we stand with.

Journey gives financially to a growing list of ministries doing kingdom work locally, around the world, and in Israel. Each one is a partner we’ve prayed over and committed to.

Israel · standing with God’s people

A few of these partners don’t have a public website. If you’d like more information about any of them, reach out.
