People at Journey Church with hands raised in worship

Hebrews 13:8

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

The Healing Room.

A night set aside to pray for healing and for God to set people free. Jesus healed people, and He has not changed. The Healing Room meets quarterly. There’s nothing to sign up for. Just come.

The heart

Jesus heals. We pray.

Not a method or a formula. A room full of people who believe what Scripture says about Jesus, praying for the people He loves.

There are people in our city carrying something they can’t put down on their own. Some are sick. Some are grieving. Some have carried the same thing for so long they stopped telling anyone about it. The room is for all of them.

Nobody has to explain themselves at the door, and nobody has to be at a certain place with God to come. Come for yourself, bring someone you love, or come and stand in for somebody who can’t be there.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” James 5:14-15

What we pray for

Bring whatever you’re carrying.

We pray for spirit, soul and body, because God has never treated a person as a case file with one problem in it.

01

Healing in the body

Exodus 15:26

“I am the Lord who heals you.”

02

The brokenhearted

Psalm 147:3

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

03

Freedom

Luke 4:18

He came “to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”

04

Forgiveness

Psalm 103:2-3

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”

05

The whole person

1 Thessalonians 5:23

“May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

06

Someone you love

James 5:16

“Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Isaiah 53:5

“The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.”

What to expect

How we pray.

A few things we hold to every time, so the room stays safe and honest.

Jesus heals. We pray.

Nobody in the room has a gift that makes healing happen. We ask, He answers, and the credit is entirely His.

We pray for everyone who comes

No screening and no ranking. If you walk in, someone will pray with you.

We don’t promise an outcome

We won’t tell you what God is going to do on a given night. We will tell you the truth about who He is.

Nobody gets blamed

If you aren’t healed, it isn’t because you didn’t believe hard enough, confess enough or give enough. We won’t say it, and we won’t let anyone else say it in this room.

We honor doctors and medicine

Luke was a physician. We will never tell you to stop treatment, skip an appointment or come off a medication. If you’re facing a medical decision, we’d love to pray with you about it.

We treat you with dignity

We ask before we lay hands on anyone. We pray at a volume you’re comfortable with. What’s said in the room stays in the room.

We keep praying

Some people are healed that night. Some are healed later. Some are healed in ways nobody expected. The prayer doesn’t end when the night does.

Pray with us

Can’t be there? Let us pray for you.

Send us what you’re carrying, for yourself or for someone you love, and we’ll pray over it.
