Three ways in

Whichever side of this you are on.

You need work

Start with the list.

Every opening goes straight to the employer’s own application. The employers above hire year round, so check them even when the list is short.

You want to help

Be a Connector.

Most of this runs on people who know somebody. If you own a business, manage a team, or just know who is hiring, that is the whole job.

If it has been a while

Nobody is born knowing this.

Take your paperwork.

Photo ID and your Social Security card cover most of it. Take the dates you worked somewhere and a phone number for each, even if the place has closed. Write it on paper. Phones die.

Most of it is online now.

Nearly every employer here takes applications through a website, and many ask you to make an account first. Set aside an hour and a real keyboard if you can find one. The library has both.

About the gap.

If you have been out of work a while, say so plainly and say what you did with the time. Caring for family counts. Recovery counts. What a manager is listening for is whether you are straight with them.

“Let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.”

Ephesians 4:28

Work pays the light bill. It also puts a person back in a position to help somebody else, and Scripture treats that second part as the point. So this is not a job board and we are not trying to be one.

Journey Church is not an employment agency and we never charge anyone, on either side, for anything on this page. We do not run any employer’s hiring and we cannot promise an outcome. If something here does not look right, tell us.
